Two Ways to Join

Open Play (Free)

Open play is completely free and always will be. Experienced players are welcome to join tables and play throughout the evening in a relaxed, social format.

Beginner Lesson ($30)

The beginner lesson is a structured, instructor-led experience designed to give new players a strong foundation in American Mahjong. The instructor guides participants for the full session, covering rules, strategy basics, and live gameplay support.

Supporting DFW Young & Social Club

Open play remains free and accessible to everyone. Beginner lesson fees and optional donations help support DFW Young & Social Club’s ability to continue offering accessible, community-focused programming.

We recommend a minimum donation of $5. Here’s how different contribution levels help support what we do:

  • $5 Covers the cost of one person

  • $5–$9 Helps sustain our free / pay-what-you-can model and pays it forward for someone else,

  • $10+ Supports the space, keeps things accessible, and helps our community grow,
