At DFW Young & Social, our events are exclusively for individuals aged 18 years or older. While our target demographic is under 40, we firmly believe that kindness, respect, and a positive attitude know no age limit. If you embody these values and are eager to connect with like-minded individuals in a warm and welcoming environment, you're more than welcome to join us. Embrace the spirit of camaraderie and let's create unforgettable memories together!

No, DFW Young & Social is open to everyone, regardless of relationship status. Our focus is on creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where young adults in the DFW area can connect, have fun, and make new friends through socializing, fitness, arts, and more. There’s no pressure or expectation for dating at our events. While natural connections are great, we have a zero-tolerance policy for any behavior that makes others uncomfortable. Everyone should feel safe and respected at our events.

Our events light up various venues across DFW but the magic starts at our 5000 sq ft club headquarters at 2309 Springlake Rd Suite 600, Farmers Branch TX 75234. Other outings include local parks, charming eateries, and other cool venues!

Great question! We are not looking for volunteers to host events solo at the moment. We do partner with members for DFW Young & Social sponsored events.

Beyond that, we are definitely open to collaborations and ideas if the event matches the DFW Young and Social “vibe” and vision—and we are always looking for locations suitable for hosting! So please do talk to us about your idea, and we can see if there’s a way to make it a good fit for everybody.

Dance

Get your groove on with one of the 12 weekly dance classes we offer! From the fiery steps of Salsa to the elegant twirls of Waltz and the upbeat bounces of Lindy Hop, there’s a rhythm for everyone to join and dance the night away.

All you need to start is a smile and a little rhythm in your step! We have multiple class levels to cater to any experience. So whether you’re a dance floor veteran or stepping out for the first time, you’ll find a beat that feels just right.

Come as you are, but wear something comfy that lets you move freely and dance shoes that let you slide and glide! Each dance might have its own style, so check the specifics when you sign up.

You’ll probably want invest in dance shoes if you dance for a while, but dance shoes are not required!
Here are some general tips (see below for dance style specific advice!):
Smooth soled shoes are best. Comfortable dress shoes often work well for men, but something like keds is a pretty good multi-purpose option for everyone.
Women often wear heels; however, unless it has an ankle strap, I wouldn't recommend it.
Avoid: Anything with heavy tread, flip flops, sandals, stilettos, slingbacks, and platforms.

Curious about our dance vibes? At this time we do not offer a free trial class. We price our dance classes at rock bottom prices with our bundles. As low as $9 dollars.

Life happens! If you miss a class, we’ll help you catch up. Just make sure to let us know before you miss the class.
If you purchase a single class we can move it to another date up 30 days from original purchase date.
If you are on a Class Pass Bundle then no worries, your pack is valid for up to 90 days at any of our classes. -
Please arrive during “check-in” window for any class or dance social! This is a 15 minute window before the start of each class—check the event description for the exact timeline for any event.
Why? Not only does this allow you not to miss any of the class, so you don’t have to scramble to catch up on the fly, but it also means that you can enjoy some bonus mingling time before the event!
If you are late, you are still welcome to join in! However, please understand that as much as we love to help everyone, we have large groups, and it isn’t fair to slow down the class to help late arrivals catch up. Just be patient with yourself (and us!) if you’re not understanding right away, and keep on trying! We’re happy to clarify more after class.
Dance Outings
These events are less structured, and you are welcome to arrive whenever you like!
However, we strongly recommend that you arrive early if you can to meet people. Since venues are often crowded, once everyone starts mingling and dancing, it can be very hard to find the group!
We also aren’t able to monitor the comments on Discord frequently once the event is in full swing.

Yes! We offer limited private lesson slots (1-2 people), semi-private lessons (3-4 people) or private group classes at locations/times that work for you, your friends and families, or special events. You can view Private Lessons — DFW Young & Social Club (dfwyas.com) for more info.

Crafts

From painting to leatherworking and crocheting to clay molding, our classes provide everything you need to unleash your creativity in a fun and supportive setting.
Many of our crafting events are led by our members! So stop by and have fun with the community by the community.

For our classes, all materials are provided, but feel free to bring any special items you’d like to work with. It’s your masterpiece, after all!

Our Open Crafting Circle & Social Hangouts on Saturdays from 2–4 PM are your chance to mingle, create, and relax. Bring your own project or purchase a craft pack from us—either way, you’re guaranteed to have a blast!

Entry is always free—come with your supplies or just bring yourself to hang out and soak in the creative vibes. For those looking to dive into a new project, we provide all the necessary materials at a small cost. It’s a perfect way to try something new without the fuss of gathering supplies. Let's craft, chat, and create together!

At DFW Young & Social, we prioritize maintaining a harmonious community environment. For minor conflicts, we facilitate mediation and guided discussions to ensure fair resolutions that respect everyone's perspectives. In more complex or significant cases, we have a panel of eight unbiased community members from diverse backgrounds who review all facts and make a decision. This panel approach ensures that every conflict is addressed thoughtfully and impartially, maintaining the integrity and unity of our community.

Bring a friend or two! All events are open to member’s guest, who can join in the fun after a $5 Temporary Membership Fee.
All Members who are using their guest passes do not need pay a temporary membership fee.

We always have a Plan B! If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll either reschedule or move indoors to a local spot nearby. We won’t let a little rain dampen our spirits!
