DFWYAS Monthly Volunteering at LLELA
Helping Where It’s Needed Most
Third Sunday of each month | 9:00am – 12:00 PM
DFW Young & Social partners with Friends of LLELA for a monthly volunteer day focused on supporting the preserve’s most immediate needs. Tasks vary each month depending on weather, seasonal priorities, and ongoing conservation projects.
Activities may include habitat restoration, nursery work, trail upkeep, planting native grasses, removing invasive growth, or other hands-on projects. No matter the task, volunteers are contributing directly to the health and sustainability of this protected natural area.
What to Bring
Volunteers should be prepared for outdoor, hands-on work. All tools and task instructions will be provided on site.
Water (we’ll bring some, but supplies may be limited)
Bug spray and sunscreen
Work gloves (leather preferred if you have them)
Comfortable outdoor shoes or boots
Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
Hat and hair ties, if helpful
