With that in mind, we are excited to share that Devin will be collaborating with DFW Young & Social as an Event Coordinator.
Getting to Know Devin
Devin Overman is the kind of multihyphenate who makes niche feel inviting. If you ask Devin what she does, be prepared for a list like:
Writer,
Book reviewer,
Professional critique giver,
American English accent coach,
Indie film producer and director,
Teambuilding games host,
Serial entrepreneur
And now Event Coordinator! She herself says,
“One could argue everything I do is a creative, side, or passion project.”
That mindset is a big part of what stood out to us. Devin follows curiosity first and builds experiences around what excites her, rather than forcing things into neat boxes.
Most recently, she reached a professional milestone when she was interviewed by AP News, reflecting years of creative work across many disciplines.
Finding DFW Young & Social
Devin first discovered DFW Young & Social through a Meetup search while looking for a board game night. What kept her coming back was the atmosphere. People showing up curious, engaged, and open to trying something new together.
One of her favorite memories has been seeing people become genuinely interested in La Fleur, watching curiosity grow through conversation and shared discovery.
Life Beyond Work
Outside of work, Devin is a dedicated BTS fan and a frequent traveler. She has visited Seoul six times, a city that holds a special place in her heart.
After a childhood trip to Branson, Missouri, her dream job briefly became being a Britney Spears impersonator. We respect a strong origin story.
Looking Ahead
As an Event Coordinator collaborator, Devin will be working with us on select events, bringing her creative lens and love for niche fun into the experiences she helps host.
Her message to the community is simple.
“COME TO ALL MY PARTIES THEY WILL BE FUN (if a bit niche).”
