Help us get our hands dirty for a greener future! Join DFW Young & Social in partnership with Friends of LLELA for a volunteer morning at the LLELA plant nursery, where we'll be supporting prairie restoration and prepping for fall planting season. Tasks may include weeding, prepping pots, organizing native plants, and other hands-on work that directly supports local conservation efforts.
This work is essential to help set up the prairie conservation area for long-term success, and you’ll be part of the team that keeps these efforts thriving.
Important Info:
We start at 9:00 AM sharp. Please arrive on time at the LLELA Visitor Center parking area.
This is a hands-on, outdoor volunteer event. You’ll be working in the nursery area, handling plants, soil, and helping with tasks that may get a little messy (in the best way!).
What to Bring:
Water (we’ll bring cases, but always good to bring extra)
Bug spray
Gardening gloves (Friends of LLELA will have extras, but sizes may vary)
Comfortable outdoor shoes or boots
Hat & sunscreen
Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
Hair ties if needed
This is a great chance to meet others, support local ecosystems, and learn more about prairie conservation firsthand.
This event is part of our ongoing monthly effort to support Friends of LLELA and their nature conservation work.
